pom is a discovery app for places to eat out in Kuwait, operated by pom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data we handle and why. Contact: developer@thisispom.com.

What we collect from you

If you join pom, we may collect your name or nickname, contact detail (email or phone) used for your invite, the places you save, like or suggest, your invite and key activity, and basic usage and device data needed to run and secure the app.

Public business information

To show places, we use publicly available business information: Google Places data (name, location, hours, branches) and public posts from business and creator Instagram accounts obtained through Meta's official Business Discovery API, shown with links back to the source. We do not collect private data about the people who follow or comment on those accounts.

How we use data

To run the app, personalise suggestions, manage invites and keys, keep pom safe, and improve it. We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

We use service providers to host and operate pom (such as Cloudflare and Google). They process data only on our behalf. We may disclose data if required by law.

Third-party platforms

Data we receive through Meta (Instagram) and Google is used only for the purposes above and is handled according to their platform terms.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete it at any time: see data deletion.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by emailing us.

Children

pom is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will update this page when this policy changes.
